Home Sponsor Opportunities
There are a variety of ways to partner with Habitat to help build a home for a family in need and make a lasting contribution to our community. A Full Partner funds the entire cost of home construction, which my be a combination of cash and in-kind donations of materials and services totaling $100,000. Habitat selects the partner family and provides volunteer site supervisors and volunteers to build the home. The sponsor may also provide volunteer workers to work with our team. In addition to Saturdays, weekday work can be arranged for full covenant partners.
“Our Habitat for Humanity experience was great! It allowed our employees to participate in a project outside of the office. They enjoyed the opportunity to help others. Entire families were involved; creating an excellent venue for passing on the lessons of helping others to their children. It was widely accepted, even retirees showed up for the fun.” – Kenny Massey, Modern Woodmen of America
A Co-Partner contributes one-half the cost of constructing a Habitat home with cash and in-kind donations totaling $50,000. Habitat’s development director can identify other possible partners for the sponsored build site.
“Our support of Habitat has proven to be a mutually beneficial endeavor. Certainly the families living in the homes we have helped with have benefited, but so have our team members who have dedicated their time, talent and treasure to the effort. Our folks feel like they and Wells Fargo have made a real difference to the betterment of all.” – John Stavnes, Wells Fargo
Sponsors support a Habitat home build for any amount between $10,000 and $100,000. Gifts from sponsors may cover the cost of the home’s foundation, electrical work and plumbing, or cabinets and other materials. Sponsors are welcome to participate in build days, which is a tremendous opportunity for teambuilding among departments, employees, or groups.
“The end result of each hour and each dollar, a Habitat Home, is a tangible monument to the dreams of a great group of people who care enough to give a part of their heart to each project.” -Andy & Debi Butler, Butler Insurance Company
A Work Day Sponsor makes a contribution to Habitat and provides volunteers for a weekday or Saturday work day. In return, they receive “building rights” for the day, on-site training and use of tools, and lunch. Work day sponsorship is a great way to strengthen group morale while making a lasting contribution to the community. Open to businesses, groups, and churches of all sizes.
