FIND THE VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITY THAT IS RIGHT FOR YOU AND PICK YOUR COMMITMENT LEVEL- ONE TIME TO FULL TIME!
Thank you for your interest in volunteering with Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities. We have volunteer opportunities for just about everyone! Volunteers are the heart of our organization. It’s hard work that makes a difference! After reading over the opportunities below, please click on one of the links at the bottom of the page to take the next step in becoming a Habitat Volunteer!
CONSTRUCTION: We offer both individual and group volunteer opportunities. Our build sites are open most Saturdays from 8:00am to 3:30pm. Weekday build sessions are available to groups and individuals when the schedule permits. Work may include framing, installing windows/siding/doors, insulating and hanging drywall, painting, flooring, finish carpentry, or landscaping. No experience necessary! Habitat provides tools, safety equipment, and on-site training. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old to participate at a construction site.
NEIGHBORHOOD REVITALIZATION: A wide variety of projects can help to improve our communities such as house painting, critical home repairs, weatherization, and neighborhood cleanup, to name just a few. These projects are offered periodically. Age restrictions apply.
LUNCH PROVIDERS: We are always in need of individuals, groups, or businesses that are willing to provide a simple meal to our construction volunteers. Please call 563-359-9066 or email volunteer coordinator Jan Trimble for more information.
OFFICE VOLUNTEERS: Work in our office answering phones, greeting visitors, entering data, and helping with mailings. Please call 563-359-9066 or email volunteer coordinator Jan Trimble for more information.
COMMITTEE VOLUNTEERS: Please consider helping out on one of our committees. These include Public Relations-Fundraising, Family Selection, Family Support, Site Selection, Construction, and Finance. Please call 563-359-9066 or email volunteer coordinator Jan Trimble for more information.
RESTORE VOLUNTEERS: Are you interested in keeping usable materials from our local landfills? Consider volunteering at the Habitat ReStore! All proceeds from the ReStore go towards our homebuilding efforts. Please visit the ReStore website for more information.
