Foundation Funds Habitat Moline Build

The Board of The Amy Helpenstell Foundation has agreed to provide $10,000 in support to build a Habitat for Humanity – Quad Cities home in Moline next year for a partner family.

The home will be built on one of two lots donated to Habitat for Humanity – Quad Cities by the City of Moline at 430 and 434 6th Street. Since the local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International was founded in 1993, a total of 41 Habitat homes have been constructed in Davenport, Rock Island, Moline and East Moline on lots donated by city governments, churches and individuals and funded by grants, sponsors, and donations.

Additionally, the approximate $65,000 cost to construct a Habitat home is subsidized by donated and/or discounted building supplies and materials and the work of our dedicated volunteers.
