House #138
Ngoc & family
Ngoc's Story A year ago, I never would have imagined I’d be where I am today. I prayed for this moment for so long, and now, by the grace of God, it’s real—I can be a homeowner. For the first time in a long time, I can finally breathe. Thanks to this incredible program, my dreams are coming true: a home for my five children and me. For the first time, we will have stability, security, and a space that’s truly ours. To the volunteers who gave their time and hearts to build this house, and to every sponsor who believed in a family like mine—thank you! You didn’t just change our lives; you gave us the foundation to build a better future. Because of this opportunity, I’m able to go back to school and, for once in my life, focus on bettering myself. I never thought it could happen, but this program made it possible. From the bottom of my heart, thank you for making my family’s dreams come true. We are truly blessed! What excites you the most about owning your own home? What excites me the most is having a place where my kids and I can feel safe, settled, and free. No more worrying about whether we’ll have to start over again. We can hang memories on the wall, grow roots, and just be. It’s our home—to protect, to laugh in, to grow in. When you are not working, what do you and your family enjoy doing? We love to travel, hike, go to arcades, play sports, garden, play games, and watch movies together. Message to Volunteers Thank you from the bottom of my heart. You don’t even know me or my kids, yet you show up—giving your time, your energy, and your lives—to help build us a home. That means everything to our family. This isn’t just about walls or a roof; you’re helping build a stable future for my five boys. Because of you, my children have a safe, stable place to grow up, and I finally have the chance to do something to better myself. I can go back to school with the help and support of this amazing program. You’re doing this out of the kindness of your hearts, and I want you to know how deeply that has touched our lives. Our family is truly changed because of people like you. Thank you for your love and kindness. We will never forget it.
