everyone deserves a place to call home
Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities builds strength, stability, and self-reliance through homeownership. Since 1993, we have built over 100 homes in Scott and Rock Island Counties. Our homeowners come from all different backgrounds, nationalities, and religions. However; they all have in common the need for safe, affordable housing.
Once selected for the Habitat program, families are paired with a mentor who will work with them throughout the program. Families are expected to contribute up to 250 "sweat equity" hours (volunteer hours) per adult before they close on their new home. In addition to the knowledge learned on the job sites, families also participate in classes geared toward successful homeownership such as budgeting, maintenance, and conflict resolution. A typical family will spend between 12 and 18 months with Habitat before they get the keys to their new home.
If you make at least $26,500 per year, have a need for safe affordable housing, and are willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity our program may be right for you. Our future home-owners pay a zero percent mortgage with 1% down payment. We work to ensure no family's mortgage payment exceeds 30% of their monthly household income. Homeowner workshops are held at various times throughout the year at which time the applications to the program open for a two week period. If you are interested in attending our next workshop, please submit your contact information below.

affordable doesn't have to lack style
All homeowners are able to select their lot based on lots we have available. We build in Scott and Rock Island County and have built homes in Davenport, East Moline, Milan, Moline, Rock Island, and Silvis. Depending on the specific lot and city building requirements, one of the three designs below are selected for the build.
