everyone should be safe in their home
We will accept applications from August 1 to September 30 for the Fall & Winter season. Our resources are committed for the remainder of the summer. You can request an application on or after August 1. The information on our program is below.
Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities, a non-profit organization, believes in building strength, stability, and self-reliance through safe and affordable housing to improve the homes and lives of low-income residents in Scott County and Rock Island County.
To be considered for the program, you must own and live in your home, meet income level criteria, and have home insurance. Homes will be selected on the basis of greatest need, the availability of funding and the ability of our volunteers to accomplish the needed repairs. We are not able to do major structural repairs or handle environmental issues on: roofs, siding, foundations, lead, mold or asbestos. And we are not able to work on mobile homes, except for wheelchair ramps.
There is an application fee of $15.00 per adult resident and a signed authorization for criminal background check is required on each adult resident. There is a sliding fee based on total household income level and size of project. The program also has a “sweat equity” requirement for hours of work to performed by home residents, family members or friends on a project or some mutually agreeable service work.
If you would like information about how you or someone you know might qualify for a home repair, please contact us using the form below or call 563-359-9066.
