about Habitat for Humanity QC
Since 1993 Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities have dedicated 140 homes. We are a nonprofit Christian housing organization, and we believe everyone deserves the opportunity to build a better future and we believe that affordable home ownership is the key. That is why we build new affordable homes. These homes not only build strength, stability, and self-reliance for our partner families, but also help to brighten up our neighborhoods, and this neighborhood is a perfect example with all of the new Habitat homes and diverse families bringing new. We couldn’t do all of this alone though. We do this by working together with the help of donors, sponsors, and thousands of volunteers who work right alongside our partner families.
We build so that everyone has the opportunity to build a better future. A decent affordable place to call home prevents trade-offs that restrict education, are detrimental to health, and create financial burdens. Ownership of a decent, affordable home empowers individuals and families to invest in the future and build strong, stable, and self-reliant lives.
We build because of your support. Your donation will help us do more. Your donation will help families do more. Your donation will help communities do more. Thanks to your donation, we are transforming lives together.
Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities is empowered by God to bring people together to build and renovate homes, to revitalize our community and to restore hope. Founded in 1993, Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities was incorporated in our community upon the return of a mission group who had been introduced to Habitat for Humanity as they were helping to rebuild in Florida after Hurricane Andrew.
Habitat for Humanity Quad Cities serves Scott County in Iowa and Rock Island County in Illinois. We have completed over 120 homes, building in the towns of Davenport, East Moline, Milan, Moline, Rock Island, and Silvis. Since 1993, our families have paid back more than $1.4 million dollars in local property taxes. Not only do our programs impact the people we serve but the whole community realizes benefits with every family we help.
